BookMyShow Goof Up

Yes, its BookMyShow this time! You browse through an online ticket booking portal, book your tickets and expect to  watch a movie as per the confirmation via invoice delivered. But instead of watching Bhaag Milkha Bhaag( the movie I booked... no points for guessing...), you end up writing a blog to explain how customers grievances are being addressed in the online world.

BookMyShow writes a mail to me stating that "we regret to inform you that your transaction done for the movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag scheduled to be held on Jul 11 2013 at HDIL Broadway: Bhandup, stands cancelled since the ticket price was updated incorrectly by the cinema and is now been revised." The best part is that the invoice fine lines states that tickets once booked can not be exchanged, cancelled or refunded.

Just a flashback, to help you comprehend issue stated above. I was browsing through BookMyShow to book tickets for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. I came across a movie theater, whose price for a ticket was listed one rupee. I booked the tickets ( even you would have done the same.. so don't find faults here...). Next day I get a mail along with a phone call from BookMyShow stating that your order placed can not be honored as there was an error in listing of prices by Theater.

I do not understand why should I care about what the flaw was, at whose end pricing error was done or what is the commercial that has been signed between BookMyShow and HDIL Broadway. How does it make a difference to my life by knowing about what went wrong. I booked a ticket and I want to see the movie.

I addressed the issue to BookMyShow and asked them to resolve the issue. However, no reverts have been received by them on the email I sent( yes, it must have been interval time for the movie by now...).

Don't know if they are going to revert now or still ignore my mail....
